FA Deferment

Using Financial Aid to Pay Housing and Meals --2009/2010

IMPORTANT: the information provided below does not include a calculation for non-resident tuition. Non-resident students who would like to defer their housing and/or meal plan payments should contact the Student Accounts Office for calculation assistance: (805) 756-1428.

Registration fees (and non-resident tuition fees, when applicable) are automatically deferred for financial aid recipients until the anticipated financial aid for the term is posted to the student's account.

On campus housing and meal plan payments (when applicable) may also be deferred UPON REQUEST* if the student has sufficient financial aid.

Please review the charts below to determine the minimum amount of financial aid you need for deferment considerartion. If you have questions, please contact the Student Accounts Office: (805) 756-1428.

1) FINANCIAL AID REQUIRED TO DEFER -

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING FEE AMOUNTS:

The CSU makes every effort to keep student costs to a minimum. Fees listed in published schedules or student accounts may need to be increased when public funding is inadequate. Therefore, CSU must reserve the right, even after initial fee payments are made, to increase or modify any listed fees, without notice, until the date when instruction for a particular semester or quarter has begun. All CSU listed fees should be regarded as estimates that are subject to change upon approval by The Board of Trustees.
