Student Loan Exit Interviews
The following information is provided to assist
you with two things: determining your loan types, and completing
the exit interview requirement for each of those loan types.
Please be advised that a records hold
may be placed on the account of all students who do not complete
the exit interview requirement in their last term of consecutive
half time enrollment at Cal Poly (undergraduates = 6 units; graduates
= 4 units - summer quarter 1/2 time unit requirements may be different).
The hold is removed only after the
exit interview requirement has been met, or the loan in question
has been paid in full - whichever comes first.
LOAN TYPES:
Before you do anything you should know your loan types. If you are
at all unsure as to what type of loans you borrowed, please confirm:
- To
determine what type of federal student loans you may owe, please
access your Student
Loan Debt Summary (NOTE:
if you have difficulty accessing the EDFUND web site,
please call them directly at 888.294.0154).
- To
determine what type of non-federal student loans you may owe (Alternative
loans; Institutional loans, etc.), please email your Exit
Interview Counselor and inquire (include your full name and
your Cal Poly EmplID #with all correspondence).
Once
you know your loan types, you are ready to complete the exit interview
process.
Each loan type referenced below is a link to the exit interview
instructions you need. If you have questions please contact
your Exit Interview
Counselor for assistance
(include your full name and your Cal Poly EmplID #with all correspondence).
