Stafford
On Line Exit
For
your convenience the Stafford loan on line exit interview process
is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week! Cal Poly asks that
you complete your required Stafford loan exit interview during your
last quarter. Completing it any sooner may not be as beneficial,
as you are likely to forget some of the pertinent information.
What You Should Know About The Stafford Loan
On Line Exit Interview Process:
Upon
successful completion of the on line exit interview process the
information you have provided will automatically be sent to the
Stafford loan guarantor (EDFUND). EDFUND will notify Cal Poly of
your exit interview completion. If you received a Stafford loan
while attending a school other than Cal Poly, you may have a different
loan guarantor. However, because the Stafford loan program is federally
regulated the repayment information provided during the exit interview
process applies to all Stafford loans - no matter who your Stafford
loan lender or guarantor is.
If
you have a Federal Perkins loan, or a campus-based (institutional)
loan you must complete a separate exit interview for that loan
type. For more information click
here. If you aren't sure if you have one of these loan types,
please contact your Exit
Interview Counselor and inquire (include your full name and
Cal Poly student ID number with all correspondence).
The
exit interview process does not guarantee an address update will
reach your lender. We recommend that you contact your lender within
10 days of leaving school to make sure that your address and
phone number are current. If you need your Stafford loan lender
information, please contact EDFUND at (800) 298-9490, or use the
loan debt summary link provided below.
