Financial Reports
AFD Finance produces several financial reports at the end of each
month. If you are responsible for managing
the various funds for your department you will want to become
familiar with these reports. Budget
and Analytic Business Services is responsible for producing
these reports each month so feel free to contact
them if you have any questions.
The primary reporting tool used at Cal Poly for department financial
information is the PeopleSoft nVision product. Each month the Department
Summary Report by Account is produced for every department. These reports include all the Chargeback activity and Mustang Graphics detail information. In addition,
departments can run a variety of reports at any time based on their
specific needs. For your convenience, please refer to the nVision
Reporting Guide for more information on the available nVision
reports used at Cal Poly.
In addition to nVision, Cal Poly has also developed a finance
data mart. This data mart is accessed using a query product called
BRIO. Many departments use the data mart as their primary source
of information as they are able to customize the results to meet
the specific needs of their department. The BRIO
Query Finance Data Mart Guide is an excellent reference on how
to run queries along with good description of the data that can
be accessed thru the data mart.
Along with the monthly department summary report, detail reports
of each departments Payroll Activity is also produced for each department.
