RESIDENTIAL PARKING (For on campus residents only)


Greetings from the Cal Poly University Police Department Parking Services!
Please review the campus parking rules and regulations prior to parking on campus. It is our goal at the University Police Department to help you avoid receiving unnecessary parking citations. You are encouraged to e-mail parking@calpoly.edu or stop by the University Police Department with any questions you may have concerning campus parking.

Summer Quarter, 2008
Resident permits for Summer, 2008 are $135. Permits can be purchased as of June 9th at the University Cashier's Office or the University Police Department. Checks or cash only.

Residential Parking Information for Academic Year 2008/09
The 2008/09 annual resident parking permit is $450 (valid Fall, Winter and Spring academic quarters). No resident quarter, weekly or daily permits are sold. Residential parking permits are no longer available for purchase online.

On campus resident students do not need to know their housing assignment to purchase a parking permit. Parking assignments will be made after August 20, 2008, based on housing assignment.

Parking permits will be mailed at the end of August to the home address provided at the time of purchase. There is no additional charge for shipping and handling.

Resident Advisors 2008/09
Resident advisors, please purchase your permit online and on the address line put “RESIDENT ADVISOR”. Parking permits will be delivered to you at the Resident Advisor Orientation Meeting. The deadline to purchase is August 20, 2008.

 

Things to Remember:

•  Please review the campus parking rules and regulations prior to parking on campus http://www.afd.calpoly.edu/Police/parking/parking_rules.htm

•  Residents are NOT allowed to use general parking permits. Residents displaying general parking permits can be fined up to $245.

•  Long term off-campus parking within the City of San Luis Obispo is not offered.

•  Due to the 1:1 ratio or resident parking, daily, weekly and quarterly permits are not offered to on-campus resident students.

•  There is no grace period, resident parking areas are enforced 24/7. Paid permits must be displayed in all vehicles parked on campus at Cal Poly.

•  Permits are not transferable and cannot be resold
