Commuter & Access Services
Commuter and Access Services is a program coordinated by the University Police Department. Our focus is to assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors find and use alternative transportation.
Like many communities, parking is often impacted during periods of peak use. During these times, traffic congestion increases and bumper to bumper traffic is the result
Rather than being part of the crowd of single occupant personal vehicles, join those of us who carpool, ride bikes, use buses... and walk. Our lungs will breath easier and our community will enjoy the benefits of positive transportation choices.
The University has fully subsidized SLO Transit for the past 25 years, thus maintaining zero fare for Cal Poly riders.
The University Police Department commits a full time employee to meet the needs for alternative transportation in our community.
Please take a look at the following alternative transportation choices. If you have questions, please call Dominique Bonino, the Commuter & Access Services Coordinator at (805) 756-6680 or e-mail her at dbonino@calpoly.edu
