Fee Payment Policy and Class Cancellation Dates for Fall 2008:

ALL PAST DUE BALANCES MUST BE PAID IN ORDER TO REGISTER. You can view your student account balance and make an online payment through your Student Center on the My Cal Poly Portal (click on the Money Matters tab). You can also make online payments directly at http://www.afd.calpoly.edu/Student_Accounts/onlinepayments.htm
(Payments are applied to outstanding charges in date order, oldest charge first.)

REGISTRATION FEES ARE DUE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION. After you are enrolled in units, view your student account balance and make an online payment through your Student Center on the My Cal Poly Portal (click on the Money Matters tab). You can also make online payments directly at http://www.afd.calpoly.edu/Student_Accounts/onlinepayments.htm

If paying by check, make the check payable to Cal Poly, and mail to:
> Cal Poly
> University Cashier
> Admin 131E
> San Luis Obispo, CA 93407
Please allow 10 days for mailing time, and include your student ID number on the check. Here is a
Fee Payment coupon for your convenience.
(Before you mail a check, be sure to review the class cancellation dates below. Online payment is the better option especially if time is running short.)

Fees that are not paid by the 4th day following the date that you register in classes will become past due, and a registration hold will be placed on your account that will prevent you from adding or swapping classes until the balance is paid.

IF YOU HAVE NOT PAID YOUR FEES BY 4:00 PM ON THE FOLLOWING CLASS CANCELLATION DATES, YOU MAY BE CANCELLED FROM ALL OF YOUR ENROLLED CLASSES:

--First Cancellation: AUGUST 28, 2008
--Second Cancellation: SEPTEMBER 12, 2008

Exceptions: Students who have financial aid for the current quarter, have an approved third-party contract on file, or are receiving fee waivers, will NOT be subject to financial registration holds or class cancellation. However, once the financial aid for the term is posted to the student account, a registration hold will be placed if your fees are not fully paid by the financial aid. The hold will prevent adding or swapping classes until the balance is paid.

Should you decide that you do not want to attend this term,
you must drop all your classses BEFORE THE TERM BEGINS to have your charges fully reversed.  If you wait and drop all your classes AFTER the term begins OR withdraw after add/drop, your fee charges will be prorated, meaning you will be charged for every day of enrollment, whether you attended classes or not.  See the Fee Refund Policy for complete details.

Late Registration Fee: If you are registering for the first time after the regular rotation period ends, a $25 late fee will be charged and must be included with your other registration and tuition payments. If you were not admitted until after the regular rotation period, you should contact the Student Accounts Office to discuss the late fee assessment.

PAYMENT DEFERRAL INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS RECEIVING FINANCIAL AID:

Registration fee payment is automatically deferred for financial aid recipients. Fees NOT covered by the financial aid award are due after the award has been posted to the student account. A registration hold will be placed at that time for any unpaid balance.

Students living on-campus can request that their financial aid pay for their housing and meals, provided their financial aid award is large enough. Click HERE for details.
